# margin doodles > Two notebooks of generated ballpoint doodles on ruled paper: crowd, a page of faces, and beasts, a plate of invented specimens, animal and vegetable. Everything is drawn in the browser from a seed, and every page is shareable by its address. margin doodles renders a sheet of school paper and fills it with drawings made of ballpoint strokes: no images, no fonts, no assets. A page is cast from a master seed, so the same address always gives back the same sheet. Clicking a drawing redraws that one from a new seed. ## Features - Two notebooks sharing one renderer: a crowd of faces, a plate of beasts and plants - Every drawing generated from a seed, no image assets of any kind - Five paper stocks: French ruled, small squared, heavy fifth line, engineering green, grey squared - Idle marks between the drawings: the S everybody could draw, arrows, stars, sums, clouds, paper darts, compass rosettes - The sheet decides what lands where: sky in the top rows, ground and water along the foot - Accessible grid with roving focus, arrow keys and spoken descriptions of every drawing - PNG export of the whole sheet - The URL carries the seed, the filter and every drawing redrawn by hand - PWA support - Offline mode ## Privacy Nothing is stored beyond a consent choice and the page settings, kept locally. Audience measurement is off until accepted. ## Credits Derivative work, twice over, both by kengocodes and both under the MIT License. The face casting descends from cyber-crowd; the geometry of the S and the idea of a drawer of paper stocks come from math-class. ## Links - Website: https://presque.cool/margin-doodles/ - Portfolio: https://presque.cool
