The Beast and Wonder Man search for a young boy named Hugo Lopez in the New York City sewers. Turns out, young Hugo has befriended a group of "Crawlers"; worm-like creatures formed from the remains of anaerobic mutation research. Beast and Wonder Man encourage Hugo to leave behind his sewer friends.
